Small plane crash in SE Oklahoma kills 3

Authorities confirmed that three persons perished in the crash of the single-engine small plane they were riding in in southeast Oklahoma.

Antlers residents Michael Davis, 23, and Kelly Thompson, 21, as well as pilot Brian Davis, 62, perished in the collision on Thursday, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

According to the OHP, the collision happened close to Antlers, some 130 miles (210 kilometers) southeast of Oklahoma City, and the sky was clear at the time.

The National Transportation Safety Board will oversee the probe, according to a report from the Federal Aviation Administration stating that the aircraft crashed under circumstances that are still unknown.

According to the NTSB and the FAA, the aircraft was a Foutz-Davis DA-3, a single-engine, four-seater aircraft registered as N88DT.
