The maiden flight, spanning approximately two hours, witnessed the proficient Embraer team meticulously assessing the performance of the converted jet. Transitioning from its previous passenger transport configuration to a freighter, the aircraft demonstrated promising operational capabilities during the test flight. Owned by Regional One, a distinguished leasing company headquartered in the United States, this E-Freighter is slated to undergo further stringent testing prior to the initiation of commercial operations.

Embraer’s rigorous testing regimen for the E-Freighter encompasses a comprehensive series of evaluations aimed at ensuring compliance with stringent performance standards. Successful ground pressurization and cargo loading tests have already underscored the aircraft’s readiness for operational deployment.
Derived from E-Jets, these freighters offer significant advantages over traditional cargo aircraft, boasting over 50% more volume capacity, three times the range of large cargo turboprops, and up to 30% lower operating costs than narrowbodies. With a maximum structural payload of 13,500 kg for the E190F and 14,300 kg for the E195F, these E-Freighters stand poised to revolutionize cargo transport efficiency.
Launched in 2022, the E190F and E195F Passenger to Freight Conversions (P2F) program epitomizes a collaborative endeavor involving a global network of over 40 suppliers and more than 600 dedicated employees. This concerted effort, encompassing over half a million work hours, underscores Embraer’s unwavering commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions to the aviation industry.
